At the end of the online seminar, Mario Leber as CPO Project Coordinator from prostep ivip explains the next steps of the CPO in prostep ivip.
The Code of PLM Openness (CPO) is an open initiative of the prostep ivip association under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). It aims to avoid barriers in networked IT environments (e.g. enterprise networks, IoT). He links technical IT requirements with those of the user. The CPO has been published as DIN SPEC 91372 and the first IT vendors have been CPO certified.
The CPO today is actively supported by nearly 100 well-known and in many cases market leading organizations from the automotive and aerospace industries, as well as IT and service providers worldwide. Its goal is to develop and apply directives on open and interoperable solutions and standard products with the aim to reduce complexity and risks in the product lifecycle.
