This year, a total of 1,000 € will go to Darmstädter Tafel e.V. and the TU Social Fund
A turbulent year is drawing to a close. For months, Corona has determined our daily lives and affects especially the lower-income members of our community the hardest. For this reason, we are donating a total of 1,000€ to Darmstädter Tafel e.V. and the TU Social Fund.
The Darmstädter Tafel was founded back in 1995 in order to realize the association's idea in our hometown as well: To collect food that would otherwise be destroyed and distribute it to the socially and economically disadvantaged. Every week, the Darmstädter Tafel provides food for about 1,200 people.
The current cutbacks in the economy and the restrictions in private everyday life are depriving many students of the part-time jobs that secure their existence. The TU Darmstadt has therefore set up a financial aid fund for TU students. Every euro donated goes directly to the students!
