Press Release CONWEAVER debut at Lilien Charity Cup 2018
Fun and numerous triumphs at the Lilien Charity Cup for the CONWEAVER team.
Die Sonne scheint!
Die Menge tobt
und wartet auf ein CONWEAVERtor!
Olé olé ola
(Song of the German soccer team SV Darmstadt 98 in a slightly modified form)
Something like this happened last Friday at the 2nd Lilien Charity Cup, where our team made it to the quarter finals and also received a special prize.
On the 22nd June the SV Darmstadt 98 together with its partner Karl Elektronik organized the second Lilien Charity Cup as part of the social campaign "Im Zeichen der Lilie". 28 company teams competed for the trophy. Besides team spirit and fun, physical effort was also dedicated to a good cause: all registration fees, a total of 3,100 €, were donated 100% to a social institution!
The team: Eleven players for one company.
Don't forget to warm up!
Kickoff... the ball is rolling! The preliminary round consisted of a total of 6 games, each team had to play. Our team mastered these with bravuor and emerged as the winner four times. Only once did the players have to settle for a defeat and a draw.
Full commitment.. always.
CONWEAVER CEO Dr. Thomas Kamps at the CEO penalty shoot-out.
Happy as the world champions: Donation of the registration fees. A total of 3,100 € was raised for a good cause. Added to this is the income from the sale of food and beverages.
That's what winners look like... almost. In the quarter-finals, the CONWEAVER team had to admit defeat to Geppert Rührtechnik's team. Nevertheless, it should be noted that everyone spent a great afternoon together as a team. And at the end there was also a prize for our team: CONWEAVER CEO Dr. Thomas Kamps won the CEO penalty shoot-out and caused a lot of cheering among the fans.
