Karl-Heinz Land, neuland

His creativity and "thinking without limits" have made Karl-Heinz Land a pioneer of digital (r)evolution. He recognizes and describes connections where many do not even suspect them. He is a recipient of the Technology Pioneer Award, a member of the Senate of the Economy (Bonn) and the Blockchain Research Institute (Toronto).

With his theses on digitalization and its impact on economy, ecology and society, he inspires entrepreneurs, top executives and political representatives to deal with and act on digital change.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Stark, Fraunhofer IPK/TU Berlin

Data Networking in Product Design: Technologies, Challenges and Solutions

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Stark, born in 1964, is the head of the Virtual Product Design business unit at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (Fraunhofer IPK) and head of the Industrial Information Technology department at the Technical University of Berlin. He studied mechanical engineering at the Ruhr-University Bochum and the Texas A&M University (USA). After his doctorate, he joined Ford AG at the Chair of Design Technology/CAD of the Technical Faculty of Saarland University. In 2002, he was appointed Technical Director "Virtual Product Creation and Methods" of Ford Motor Company Europe and was responsible, among other things, for digital process and method projects in Europe for the Ford, Volvo and Jaguar/LandRover brands as well as for the partner collaborations with Mazda and the development partners and system suppliers. In February 2008, Rainer Stark was appointed Professor at the Technical University of Berlin. His research focuses on intuitive and context-related information modeling, intuitive and functionally experienceable virtual prototypes, function-oriented virtual product creation, and development processes and methodologies for product design.

Currently, Pawel is responsible for the implementation of the ePLM Navigator. In his presentation, he will explain how the Bosch application based upon CONWEAVER Linksphere improves PLM traceability in a complex, cross-organizational environment.
